The 10th Annual Confluence Summit isn’t your typical conference—it’s a three-day journey into culture, collaboration, and co-creation. Here’s a peek inside the agenda that will shape Alaska’s 10-year vision for a regenerative outdoor economy.

Day 1: Setting the Foundation. We begin with introductions and a cultural orientation from the Alutiiq Museum, grounding us in Kodiak’s history and values. Panels on Indigenous Place Naming Projects and Re-Connecting Youth with the Land set the tone for a regenerative vision rooted in people and place. Networking and facilitated discussions follow—giving everyone a chance to add their voice early.

Day 2: Learning and Exploring. We’ll hear from stalwart voices and emerging influencers in the morning, plus panels on innovative funding models and outdoor initiatives. Expect insights from state and national outdoors leaders including examples from grant programs in New Mexico and Colorado. Afternoon Learning Journeys take us out into Kodiak: the Alutiiq Museum, a medicinal plants walking tour, and a hike with Island Trails Network.

That evening, we’ll host an Outdoor Town Hall at Double Shovel Cider Co. from 6–8 p.m.—open to the public in an old-school soapbox style. This is a chance for anyone in the community to step up, share their perspective, and be part of shaping Alaska’s outdoor future.

Day 3: Co-Creating the Future. The final day is where strands come together. Through power mapping and lively facilitated conversations, we’ll chart pathways for action. Then, we’ll look ahead to what comes after Kodiak: the Weaving Circle Series of online talks to ensure the vision is refined and reinforced with truly statewide and diverse input.

Why It Matters Confluence is an unconference. Every attendee contributes to shaping the plan. The agenda gives us shared starting points, but what emerges will be the product of the people in the room.

👉 It's not too late! Register now to secure your place in shaping Alaska’s regenerative outdoor future.
