As Alaska navigates big shifts in federal policy, funding priorities, and climate realities, it’s never been more important to come together and design a future where our lands, waters, communities, and outdoor economy can thrive—together.
That’s why this year’s Confluence Summit will kick off a collaborative process to shape a 10-Year Vision for a Regenerative Outdoors in Alaska. This isn’t just a brainstorm—it’s a working session to build shared goals across sectors and regions. Whether your passion is access to trails, healthy communities, subsistence rights, small business growth, or restoring ecosystems, your voice is needed.
We’re using a co-creation framework, which means we won’t sit and be lectured to—we’ll get to work. Participants will join cross-sector groups to tackle questions like:
What does regeneration look like for your community or sector?
How can outdoor access promote health and equity?
What economic models support long-term stewardship?
How do we build policy and funding strategies that hold up through change?
We know that Alaska Native knowledge systems, small businesses, youth and elders, health professionals, land managers, educators, conservationists, and others all hold pieces of the puzzle. Together, we can design a future that is resilient, inclusive, and rooted in place.
This vision won’t live on a shelf. It will guide policy conversations, funding proposals, community initiatives, and how we collaborate across the state.
If you want to shape Alaska’s outdoor future—not just react to it—join us this September in Kodiak. Let’s build something that lasts.
